Launched in April 2006, Outaouais Heritage WebMagazine is an initiative of the Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network (QAHN).

As part of QAHN’s Quebec-wide Internet heritage website, Quebec Heritage Web, Outaouais Heritage WebMagazine is designed to serve as a guide to the Outaouais region's rich heritage and history. It is our hope that visitors to this site will come to better appreciate this fascinating part of the province, and eventually visit the Outaouais in person.

Modeled on the acclaimed Townships Heritage and Laurentian Heritage webmagazines, Outaouais Heritage WebMagazine is the third of QAHN's innovative regional Internet magazines spotlighting Quebec's history and heritage, with emphasis on the province's English-speaking community. Together, these three Internet magazines -- and, in time, magazines for all regions of Quebec from Abitibi to Gaspé -- constitute QAHN’s province-wide site, Quebec Heritage Web.

Submissions to Outaouais Heritage are welcome.

Gaspesian Heritage WebMagazine will be the latest addition to QAHN’s Quebec Heritage Web, and will be devoted to the rich history, heritage and culture of the English-speaking community of the Gaspé Coast. It will feature articles from community members, historic events, a photo gallery, a cultural events calendar, a database of Gaspesian books, music, art and much more.

A core mission of CASA is to protect, promote and preserve the culture and heritage of English-speaking Gaspé.  In the last four years CASA has interviewed hundreds of community elders to ensure the documentation of precious history.  The webmagazine will compliment CASA’s activities and ensure that Gaspesian history remains accessible to all generations both now and in the future...
