Gatineau (Québec), October 13, 2015.

Gatineau, Quebec, October 13, 2015 — The Canadian Children’s Museum is offering new and improved guided birthday parties: two new themes, more possibilities and the same fun for the kids!

Children from 3 to 8 years old are invited to become Scene-Stealers by stepping into the spotlight with a behind-the-scenes trip to the Children’s Museum Theatre. After choosing a costume and having their face painted, kids will have a chance to play with all kinds of props and learn how the sound and lighting systems work. Our Theatre Director will reveal the secrets of make-believe and will teach the kids some stage skills to get them ready for the limelight.

Children from 4 to 7 years old are invited to take an unforgettable trip Around the World. Guided by an intrepid Explorer, they will try drumming in Nigeria, discover origami in Japan, learn a traditional dance and make a piñata in Mexico. This whirlwind trip around the world will allow them to see how children from diverse cultures celebrate special occasions.

A Do-it-Yourself Party option is also available for kids from 5 to 12 years old. This option includes Museum admission (10 kids, 2 adults), and one hour of free time in one of the Museum’s party rooms. This is a great option for parents looking to plan their own party activities in a unique location.

Guided birthday party service are held at the Canadian Children’s Museum on weekends at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; the Do-it-Yourself Party, at noon. Each party includes access to a private party room for an hour as well as admission and access to the Canadian Children’s Museum until closing. In addition, those who choose one of our guided parties will benefit from an hour of animation from Museum staff.
